Today, I wanted to share an episode that I was recently on called “The Francy Life – Not Your Momma’s Podcast” hosted by Christina Francy. There are a lot of great nuggets about finding balance in working mom life, wellness routine as a busy parent, prioritizing the most important things, and asking for help when you need it. This one is a really good one that can help hustling moms focus on wellness and find their center amidst the busy to keep a healthy balance in their day to day.

Permission to Go For It                 

The women that are the ones who really start making changes in their lives are the ones who give themselves permission to go for it. Some moms feel guilt for wanting something of their own outside of mom life, but it doesn’t have to be that way. In fact, having your own thing will make you a better mom and set a positive example for your kids.  

Prioritizing what Matters Most               

Business and life don’t have to be two different things. Having work/life integration helps keep things balanced. Life isn’t about perfection, it’s about doing what you can and prioritizing what matters most. Being happy in your day to day is what your kids are going to pick up on. Moms can be really hard on themselves and think they need to be more diligent with their time, when in fact, they are doing a lot already. It’s really about not sweating the small stuff all of the time.      

Show Up for Yourself                  

When it comes to wellness and fitness, especially for new moms, it’s fitting it in whenever you get the chance. It’s most likely not going to happen at the same time every day, but there will always be 30 minutes that you can find to take care of yourself. Consistency is key, it will become a part of you, and you’ll want to keep doing it. Show up for yourself and make adjustments to make it happen. 

Grow and Evolve                    

It’s really important to keep growing, in health and fitness as well as all other areas of your life. It’s easy to just go through the motions and fall into complacency, but you should push to keep change coming. Don’t get stuck in the basics of life. We are meant to change and evolve, so don’t wait for the right time, just start and take small steps. Go for it, especially if it scares you.
