About Molly Asplin

Leadership Advisor and Host of The Modern High Performer Podcast

evoto

Earlier in my career, I was climbing the corporate ladder in finance and checking all the boxes of a traditional path. Over time, I became increasingly interested in how leaders sustain clarity, energy, and direction as responsibilities grow. That curiosity led me deeper into the study of high performance, decision-making, and leadership effectiveness — not through dramatic change, but through small shifts that built momentum over time.

Today, I support directors, founders, and senior leaders as their roles expand from personal execution into leading through others. My work focuses on helping leaders clarify priorities, strengthen decision ownership across teams, and move meaningful work forward with greater alignment and momentum.

How I Work With Leaders

  • Let's make forward progress

  • Whether leaders are navigating expanding scope, leading larger teams, or stepping into more strategic responsibility, I help them create clarity around what matters most and how to move work forward with confidence.

    Here’s what I believe:

    • Leaders do their best work when expectations and ownership are clear
    • Strong execution comes from alignment across people, priorities, and decisions
    • High performance is sustainable when leaders have space to think strategically

A few fun facts about me

I’m a runner at heart and have completed 4 marathons—with my sights set on a 5th at the NYC Marathon (hopefully soon!).
My husband and I took a once-in-a-lifetime trip around the world in 2016—16 countries in 5 months! It completely shifted our perspective on what’s possible.
We now have three children, and I’m passionate about building a life that holds both meaningful work and strong family connection.
Kauai, Hawaii is my favorite place on earth. One of my big dreams? Spending our winters there someday.
I’m a sucker for nice pens, fresh notebooks, and cozy morning journaling with a warm cup of coffee.
A good workout, coffee, and a deep conversation with a friend are basically my love language.
In the summer, you’ll find us soaking up the sunshine at the cabin with family and friends—a beloved escape after long Minnesota winters.
