Now is the Time
A big limiting belief around focusing on a nutrition plan was that there was too much going on, and there were a lot of excuses coming up. No time was going to be perfect, and that’s why now is the time to start. No matter what is going on, when it comes to your health, it needs to work into everything else going on. At the very least, focus on clean, wholesome eating. It works wonders on how you feel from the inside out.
All About Nutrients
Don’t feel like you have to restrict yourself and do not punish yourself with words like “bad” when you aren’t perfect. It’s a journey of finding your balance. You don’t have to outrun your fork or feel like you need to be on a strict calorie to workout ratio. Find that sweet spot with nutrition where your meals are providing you with plenty of the nutrients your body needs while staying active. Nutrition in the foods that you’re eating are going to play one of the biggest parts in your journey.
Plan it Out
It doesn’t have to be complicated, simplicity creates consistency. Set up meal plans that will allow you to run on autopilot most of your days. These plans might take a little work upfront, but it will create more simplicity in your day to day and take away decision fatigue. This also allows for more variety in each meal and provides a steady amount of the nutrients your body needs.
Mix it Up
Don’t worry if you’re a picky eater. You can eat well even if you don’t like certain foods. Play around with the stuff you do like. Pair things up in ways you haven’t done before. You never know until you try. All you have to do is make sure that you pack in as much variety that you can with each meal.
Cost Control
Eating well does not have to cause financial stress. Planning your meals helps with not overspending on unnecessary things, buying things on a whim, and late night take-out. It also helps you use all the food you’re purchasing, reduces waste, and provides you with leftover options when you want.
