Today, I wanted to run through my new and improved morning routine. I have a previous episode on the importance of having a morning routine, but it should continue to grow and evolve as you do. I have some tips in this episode on how to find your morning motivation and kickstart your day to get the most out of the time that you have.

I believe in leaving phones out of the bedroom and skipping scrolling before going to sleep. In the morning, I start my day around 5 am, put on my workout clothes laid out the night before, and pop my headphones in to listen to an inspirational podcast. While that’s going on, I make sure to drink a good amount of water before getting outside to move. I round all of this off with journaling my goals so I can focus on the things that are going to move the needle forward before my daily workout.
Work it Out
A 45 minute workout in the morning is motivating for me. It helps me get going and press play on it as soon as possible so it gets done before my kids are up. My workout is also challenging in a good way because it helps me stay disciplined with my time and dedicated to the workout. Challenge yourself, mix it up, and get in a new morning routine to give yourself the fire to make the changes you want to make.
Own Your Time
After my workout I eat breakfast, and by this point my kids are usually up, but I make it a point to eat to get nourishment in my body after my intense workout. All of this quick movement throughout the morning helps me carry it throughout the day. It helps me be more intentional with my time since we live such a busy life with three kids. Own the time that you have for your mind, through movement, and with meaning.
