In today’s solo episode, I wanted to chat a little bit about the times that we are feeling down and how to lift yourself back up in order to be a strong leader. I want to let you know it’s okay to not feel 10/10 all of the time, but it’s important not to linger in a rut.
Talking Points:
04:22 Moments
08:17 Consistency
10:23 Centeredness
13:34 Action
18:55 Passion
Moments
We all have our moments and you can be down, just don’t stay down. You’re going to have times and days that you are off, but how long do you want that to last for? Hold yourself to a higher standard and show up for the people who need you. Also, be careful about what you spend your energy on and how it’s affecting you.
Consistency
You have to have a mindset shift if you find that you’re constantly going through high’s and low’s in your mood. Energy levels can flow, but it’s important to stay as consistent as possible as a leader. People rely on and appreciate consistency.
Centeredness
One of the top qualities of a leader is centeredness. In order to grow, you have to be able to bring yourself back to a centered place. It’s okay to be down, but regroup, and don’t stay there.
Action
You have to make sure to put action over anxiety. It doesn’t do anything to dwell on things. Move yourself forward by taking action. Be solution oriented and get yourself on track with the things you know you should be doing.
Passion
Take care of yourself. We know internally what we need, so do the things that are going to make you feel better. Find your passion and enthusiasm.
