Today, I’m tackling the topic of starting a new venture without waiting for the “perfect” time. I know it’s easy to want to wait for the right moment, but that often doesn’t come. You have to push past your fears and just start despite imperfect conditions. This episode is all about adopting a proactive mindset and taking the necessary steps towards success in the business world.
Talking Points:
00:02 The Mindset of Starting
I often hear people say they’re waiting for the perfect time to start something new, whether it’s a project or a business. But, life is always going to throw busy seasons and events at us. The perfect moment isn’t going to come. It’s all about making the time, not finding it. And speaking of starting, it’s crucial to get those basics down, even when things are hectic.
06:55 Ramping Up and Running
Once you’ve got that foundation, it’s time to really get moving. Put in the work and embrace a ‘healthy hustle’. Set goals and then go after them with everything you’ve got. And if you’re looking to grow, especially in business, you’ve got to up your outreach. Get your name out there and really engage with your audience or customers.
17:11 Leverage Networking
There’s a whole lot of value in getting out there and meeting people face-to-face. Think about hosting your own events or showing up at local community gatherings. Try to create genuine relationships. I love setting up walking dates, playdates for those with kids, or even joining a book club.
20:23 Expanding Your Network
Now, when you do meet new people, don’t forget to add them to your social circles, like on social media. And remember to connect with those who are on a similar journey of growth. Surround yourself with people who challenge you, who push you to be better. And when you can, partner up with those who have similar ambitions. It can really elevate what you’re doing.
