In this podcast episode, I’m sharing my personal experiences as a working mom with three young kids, and how I’ve managed to create effective morning and evening routines that actually work. I know firsthand how tough it can be to stay consistent when you’re juggling corporate life and motherhood, but having a structured evening routine is the game changer that makes my mornings more productive.

Talking Points:
02:08 Setting Up for Success
I can’t stress enough how crucial it is to establish calming morning and evening routines. They help me manage stress and keep everything flowing smoothly. My evening routine, especially, sets me up for success by allowing me to take control of tomorrow.
06:08 Wind Down with Purpose
One of the best things I do is to limit phone use at night. It’s incredible how much better I sleep when I take time to disconnect. Instead, I focus on calming activities. It’s such a peaceful way to wind down and prepare mentally for the next day.
09:01 Starting the Day Strong
I make it a point to wake up early and start my day with intention. A great morning routine kicks off everything—whether it’s positive self-talk, visualization, or jumping into a quick workout to energize myself. It’s all about setting a positive tone.
10:40 Mindfulness and Motivation
Every morning, I listen to my “Daily Fire” audio, which totally fires me up for the day. I also do my Five Hearts meditation, a gratitude practice that really grounds me. These mindful moments help me stay focused and motivated.
13:25 Journaling and Planning for Clarity
I use my High Performance Planner to journal in the mornings. This helps me set daily intentions and gives me the clarity I need to achieve my goals. It’s a simple practice but it keeps my long-term dreams in focus.
19:20 Staying Consistent and Flexible
Consistency is key in my routines, even when life throws curveballs. But I also know the importance of adapting—whether I’m recalibrating in the middle of a rocky day or adjusting my routine as life evolves. It’s all part of staying on track.
21:56 Bookending the Day
At the end of the day, I reflect on how both my morning and evening routines help bookend everything. It’s that structure that makes all the difference for long-term success.
