I want to talk about a part of that conversation that might be hard for some people — getting rejected. This is something you absolutely can’t take personally and is a natural part of the process.

It’s Good To Follow Up
Sometimes people worry about bothering people or coming off as annoying. The thing is, you can’t just wait for things to fall into place. It’s okay to follow up with people who have shown interest, and there are ways to go about it where you don’t come across as bothersome, but you have to be okay with checking in.
Stop Overthinking and Take Action
Stop overthinking. This costs you money, time, and energy. It can be hard to take the emotion out of these situations, but you’ll get better at doing it over time. It will benefit you in the long run if you stop overthinking and start taking action. Action will come from the “no’s” you get as well as the “yes’s”. You Can Make a Difference
Sharing what you have to offer is not about you, it’s about the people on the other side of the message who might connect with it. You can only help people if you’re willing to share and connect with others. You have the ability to make a difference, so don’t hold back because you think you might be annoying. You never know who might benefit from it.
Don’t Be Overly Empathetic
Ask yourself if you’re being overly empathetic. Don’t try to please everyone by playing it completely safe. Don’t worry so much about what other people think. You won’t help anyone if you are too afraid to put your work out there because you’re so worried about other people’s thoughts.
Keep Showing Up
The big message: Don’t take things so personally. You’re going to get all sorts of answers. Keep doing your thing and brush it off if it starts to affect you. Keep showing up and doing the things that drive you. Time breeds trust. If you continue to keep doing what you’re doing, over time, you’ll see a trickle effect of interest.
